Menu for the week
February 25, 2008 by purni
Off late we have been cooking for the entire week on Sundays. Makes my life easier during the work week. We buy groceries from the local farmer’s market and Indian grocery store on Saturdays. Sunday morning we cook for 2.5 hrs and we have food for the entire week. Here’s what we have cooked for this week.
1. Dahi Bhendi - A yummity recipe from Ms. Sailaja
2. Channa Masala - from Mahanandi
3. Peerkanga(Ridge Gourd) Koottu and chutney made from the skin of peerkanga - recipes I learnt from Mom
4. Brinjal curry with podi - recipe from Saffron Trail
5. Cauliflower Peas Curry.
Evenings once we get home from work, we heat up a sabzi and have it with rotis. Life sure is more relaxed this way. Sid and I enjoy our time together when we cook. He cuts the vegetables, washes the dishes and cleans up the kitchen while I cook. We listen to music, dance around and cook together.
Some Sundays we cook in the evenings (like yesterday). Yesterday morning we went and played badminton for 1.5 hrs in the morning, had lunch and relaxed and we cooked in the evening.
Life is fun and am loving it.
Have a nice week ahead.
